General Assembly Manhattan
Project developed while working at TEN Arquitectos NY
General Assembly is a global institution that supports a growing community of individuals through instruction and opportunity in business, technology, and design. Established in early 2011 as a co-working space for entrepreneurs and startup companies in New York City, General Assembly transformed into a global learning experience with campuses in 20 cities and over 35,000 graduates worldwide. While working with the team at TEN Arquitectos NY, I was involved in the design and construction of the first campus which included a variety of innovative learning spaces. Close collaboration with the stakeholders at GA was vital to successfully establish and fulfill the space requirements while strengthening the brand identity through environmental graphics and a modern yet warm material palette. The design of the first GA space in Manhattan was rolled out in other locations across the country.
